How to look after them?

Guinea Fowl chick
  • After hatched, put them in a cage complete with 60 @ 100 Watt lamp for 1 month and give them carghill starter bran @ 201C.
  • Release 1 month old fowl in a bigger cage and feed them grower pallet. After 2 months, release them in a wide area.
  • In the farm, build a shelfs with @ without roof for them to sleep.
  • During the day, they will feed on anything they can found in the farm i.e: bugs, weeds, seeds, etc.
  • They like to lay their eggs in the bushes and the eggs must be taken every day.
  • It's better to incubate the eggs because they will leave the remaining eggs after only a few chick hatched. They eggs will hatched within 33 days.
  • Eggs hatching depends on the breed. with the best breed there is, the percentage for the eggs to hatch can reach 100%.
The market price for the virgin fowl is RM25 each, the mother is RM 50 each...
I have eaten them and compare to other chicken @ duck meat, their meat a lot more delicious especially when it was cooked as "rendang pedas"
